WHERE ASANA RIGOR MEETS HOLISTIC VIGOR
REFINE YOUR PRACTICE / RE-FIND YOUR HEALTH
Join Miriam and Sarah in Sicily as they link the physical practice of yoga with the applied fundamentals of holistic nutrition. This integrated experience begins at a wellness agriturismo in the ancient town of Corleone to get grounded in the mountains and with the property’s wildlife (horse/frogs/goats/edible flowers/cashew trees). Then it’s off to the most magical, light-filled coastal city of Cefalu, settling into Sarah’s favorite five-star resort on the sea, mere steps away from an incredible cove with crystal-clear water (pictured above), to do the deeper work.
Miriam’s yoga is challenging and creative, stretching both body and mind with her intentional sequencing and cardio kriyas. Through focused and personal attention, hands-on adjustment and edge-pushing asana, your practice — whether a beginner or an advanced asana-er — will evolve and transcend expectations. Meanwhile, Sarah will work one-on-one with you to decode/debunk specific health concerns and create a cohesive wellness program to cultivate upon returning home. Yoga classes are linked with nutritional-based conversations about topics typically taboo so to unlock the relationship between slowing down, digestion, sexual expression, body image and the way we walk through the world, as physical bodies, as emotional entities. Discover the underlying causes of habits that keep you unhappy, dissatisfied or in a state of dis-ease. But it’s not all sweat and tears! There will be plenty of time to luxuriate by the sea, at the pool, in the hot tub or on the beach. Sarah will also serve as your guide to all Sicilian things food- and drink-related. (Granita e brioche! Bucatini con le Sarde! Pasta alla Norma! Arrancini! Cornetti con crema! Byodynamic Grillo! Nero d’Avola from Mt. Etna!) And that is just the beginning. This is a highly-curated, deeply-intimate, women’s-only wellness experience. We create a safe space for transformation and catharsis, if you’re into that sort of thing.
Finally, you ask: Why Sicily? Well, the better question would be: Why NOT Sicily? This fertile and feral island is like nowhere else on the planet. Its sensibilities — from de-stressing to cultivating pleasure — deeply align with the principles Miriam and Sarah preach. Sicily is a wild place. It’ll break you if you try to contain it. But containment is boring. Let Sicily, let Refined, let all the things, happen to you.

Sarah Pachelli is a nutritional chef and mind/body/soul nutritional counselor based in NYC. After being diagnosed with psoriasis and having been failed by Western medicine’s limitations, she began exploring alternative modes of healing and ultimately cured her own supposedly incurable autoimmune disease by changing her diet. This lead her to culinary school at Natural Gourmet Institute, where nutritional courses are as mandatory as knife skills. She then worked as a line cook at Blue Hill and as a sous chef of the president of Columbia University before starting her nutritional personal cheffing business where she uses food as medicine to help clients cope with a whole host of ailments, from autoimmune disease and cancer, to weight loss and cleansing. Sarah is also a registered nutritional counselor from The Institute of the Psychology of Eating, bridging the gap between what we eat and how we feel. As well as working with personal clients both culinarily and from a mind/body perspective, Sarah is Sicily-obsessed and travels there many times a year to study the culture and the food.
